Please help us identify this man pictured at River City Spirits in Chaska. On Friday, another customer dropped his newly purchased money order onto the floor and walked out of the store without noticing. This man picked up the money order and put it in his pocket. He is wearing a heavy hooded sweatshirt, a stocking cap, and unique black and white athletic shoes.

Chaska Police is looking to identify the male wearing the Minnesota Vikings attire. He was described by a witness to be 37-42 years old with a thin build. He is suspected of stealing a Stihl brand leaf blower in September.

Chaska Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects involved in the armed robbery of a Super America store in Chaska during the early morning hours of 10-22-11. The three male suspects were masked and wearing white surgical gloves. They are pictured here. The suspect in the white sweatshirt is believed to be an African American male.

Chaska Police is offering a $500 reward for information leading to arrest and convictions in this case.

Vodka Theft Suspect

This individual has been identified and cited for Misdemeanor Theft. Thanks go out to the Shakopee Police Department and the Prior Lake Police Department for identifying this offender.

This male is suspected of stealing a liter bottle of Absolut Vodka from River City Spirits in Chaska. He is a Hispanic male, 20-30 years old, about 5-8" tall with a heavy build. Heartbreakers Bar Burglary -- Reward Offered

Chaska Police responded to a burglary at Heartbreakers Bar and Grill. Employees arriving for work found monitors tipped over and two cash drawers missing; later an envelope containing additional money was discovered missing. After reviewing surveillance video, police learned three black males used a crowbar to gain access through the front door. The suspects, once inside, stole two cash register drawers and the envelope of money and left the store in approximately two minutes. The suspects are believed to have left in a gray, silver or champagne colored passenger car.

Heartbreakers is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the three individuals.

Robbery at Kelley's Bar -- Solved!

On Tuesday, May 17, at approximately 8:30 AM Chaska
detectives, with the assistance of the Carver County Sheriff’s
Emergency Response Team (SERT), arrested Roberta Ann
Michel, DOB 05.24.1966, age 44, for the armed robbery of
Kelley’s bar – 501 Chestnut Street, Chaska - on Wednesday,
May 11.

The arrest took place at Michel’s residence – 116 South
Street West, Norwood Young America (Carver County, MN.)
Physical evidence and tips from the public assisted a team
led by Detective Rachel Nelson in identifying Michel, as the
suspect.

Numerous pieces of evidence, including the gun used in the
robbery, were taken into custody, at the time of Michel’s
arrest. Michel is being held in the Carver County Jail.

Chaska Qdoba Burglary Information

On January 16, 2011, the Quoba in Chaska was burglarized at about 4 a.m. by two suspects. One man wore a unique navy blue hat with unknown white writing on it and a blue jacket or hooded sweatshirt. He was of medium build and carried a Dallas Cowboys duffel bag. The other man wore a white hooded jacket.

Theft in Excelsior

On 12-24-2010, the owner of the Excelsior BP gas station exited the store to begin snow plowing, leaving just another clerk inside. A short while later, a dark colored mini-van parked on the street, and a lone occupant exited. He walked straight into the store, and walked directly towards the back offices/restroom area. Approximately 2 minutes later, he exited the store through the "Enter Only" door, and immediately walked to his van and left. The owner returned to his business office after plowing and found that a large amount of cash had been taken from his desk in the office. K2 Information and Photos

A new abused substance called “K2” or “spice” has received much media attention in the metro area and has been identified in Chaska and the surrounding area. K2 is a dried herbal blend coated with a synthetic cannabinoid chemical that causes intoxicating effects similar to marijuana. K2 looks and works a lot like marijuana; however it has many more dangerous side effects. The substance is marketed as incense to mask its intended purpose; it is being misused and smoked to obtain a high.

K2 is legal in Minnesota and teens are able to purchase this drug at tobacco shops. There currently is no regulation on the substance. Because it is not yet legally controlled, that does not mean that use of it is safe. It is impossible to determine what chemicals are on the material and therefore any ingestion would be dangerous. In news reports, these side effects have ranged in severity and some have resulted in hospitalization. Some reported common side effects include: heart palpations and malfunctions, vomiting, panic attacks, agitation, dangerous or violent behavior, paranoia, hallucinations, psychotic episodes, and loss of consciousness.

Chaska officers have heard from area teens that the chemical is being used here. There was one

incident where an officer found marijuana that he suspects was mixed with K2. We ask parents to be aware of the substance and its dangers. Officers can assist with helping identify the substance as well.

We have provided pictures of a package of K2, please be aware there are many different packaging variations of this drug.

ID at the Super America

On Friday 12-11-09, a holiday shopper had their debit card and checkbook stolen while at Kohl's in Chaska. Minutes later, the suspect in the photos used the card to rack up over $500 worth of merchandise including childrens clothing and bedding. Please comment or call.

$1,000 REWARD - Damage and Theft at Lenzen Chevrolet and Auto Pros

During the evening of 12-16-09 unknown suspects damaged three vehicles at Auto Pros of Chaska. Car stereo systems were stolen from two of those vehicles.
In a related case, 12 new and used vehicles were forcefully entered and damaged at Lenzen Chevrolet. Damage included slashed tires, scratched paint, punched locks, damaged steering columns, and frivolous interior damage. Damage is estimated to be in excess of $15,000.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Daytime Burglary

A Chaska home was burglarized on the morning of Monday December 7th, 2009. Unknown suspects stole a 50" Vizio TV, a Macbook laptop computer, several hockey jerseys, and other sports memorabilia. The suspect vehicle is described as a brownish-maroon Ford F-Series King Ranch Edition crew cab truck. This model of truck is relatively rare. The two photos show the actual suspect vehicle and an example of the suspect vehicle.

Damage to Shorewood Halloween Display

On 10-25-09, between 1:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., two young males entered the victim's Shorewood yard and damaged their Halloween display. The suspects damaged the Styrofoam heads on two of the characters. They arrived and left by a vehicle. The victims believe the damage occurred around 2 a.m. because the video was started around 1 a.m. and it occurred approximatley 1 hour later. On 10/18/2009 between 0130 and 0200 hours, several mailboxes and street signs were intentionally struck by a motor vehicle in the Carver Beach Rd neighborhood of Chanhassen. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a red older model (small) pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet S10 or a Dodge Dakota.

Gas Depot Burglary

During the early morning hours of Monday August 17th, two masked men forced their way into the Gas Depot gas station in Jonathan Square. Once inside, one male walked around the store knocking cameras down with a broom, while the other male drilled open the safe. The males left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The two males shown in the surveillance images got a cab ride from Maynard's in Excelsior to a convenience store at Hwy 41 and Hundertmark Rd at about 10:20 PM on July 4, 2009. They left the store walking northbound without paying for the cab ride. They were both described as being about 20 to 25 years old and about 5'9" to about 5'10. CPD Seeking Assault Suspect

Chaska Police is seeking assistance in locating Nery Adalberto Amaya, age 28. Amaya is suspected in assaulting his girlfriend with a knife. He then used the knife to cut his own chest and fled the scene. He may seriously injured. He may be driving a dark-colored Honda Accord. Repeat Offender in a Chanhassen Yard

Over the last year, a resident of the Timberwood neighborhood in Chanhassen has been a victim of multiple incidents of property damage and theft. The victim's dog kennel has been cut several times, and at one point the dog inside the kennel was removed. The dog was eventually found in the Mankato area, close to the college student housing. The most recent images (below) show the suspect wearing a mask and concealing himself. The victim has set up a camera to record the incident, but most recently the suspect has damaged the camera. We suspect a college-aged male. Eden Prairie Robbery

On 01-01-09, the Hilton Garden Inn in Eden Prairie was robbed. The two suspects entered the hotel through a side door into a bar/dining area near the front desk. They asked the clerk on duty if they could watch TV at the bar and stayed for about an hour. The clerk left the front desk for a few minutes and upon returning, one of the suspects pulled out a semi-auto handgun and asked that the safe be opened. The clerk was unable to do that but gave the suspects a cash drawer and money envelope. The suspects left on foot and no vehicle was seen.

Suspect #1 was described as a Hispanic male in his mid twenties. He was about 5'10 and 150 pounds. He wore a red puffy jacket with a white hoodie underneath, blue jeans, and Timberland style boots.

Suspect #2 was described as a black male in his mid twenties. He was about 6'02 and 200 pounds. He wore a dark blue puffy jacket and baggy blue jeans worn up to mid thigh and held in place by a belt with a silver oval buckle. Along with the tattoo of a scorpion on his neck, the suspect may have had a tattoo at the base of his left index finger.
